Whipped cream frosting that does not wilt
Stabilized cream frosting
1/2 C water
4tsp. Gelatin
2Tbsp confectioner’s sugar
2 C heavy cream
Put bowl And blender blades in freezer for 15 minutes or while you prep rest.
Sprinkle the gelatin on the 1/2 c water in microwave safe bowl and let sit for 5 min.
Get out sugar and microwave the gelatin for one minute stir and put in for one more minute.
Then let it sit for 10 minutes til room temperature liquid still but not warm.
Next place heavy cream in frozen bowl with sugar and beat til you can see it is firming by blender blade
marks.
Add gelatin mixture to cream, pouring in a steady stream while beating constantly. Beat until stiff peaks form.
Use immediately. I added two more TBsp of the gelatin powder for added color and flavor
I am using on a cake for my mom’s birthday and don’t worry the frosting even covers when cake sticks a little in the pan.
So yea I messed up the cake but look at it covered in this filling with added fresh raspberries.
Then I added the top layer and frosted it.
I can’t wait to go to mom’s party with this cake. I am so blessed she adopted me and loves me as much as I love her.
