Some times a picture with words is all it takes.
But I have found that by google searching even a part of the words you can find a reference to Scripture. So I typed in hurt back people, and found this…
Luke 6: 27-29
This is what I say to all who will listen to me: Love your enemies, and be good to everyone who hates you.Ask God to bless anyone who curses you, and pray for everyone who is cruel to you.If someone slaps you on one cheek, don’t stop that person from slapping you on the other cheek. If someone wants to take your coat, don’t try to keep back your shirt.

Psalm 27:4

Vegan Patties

Veggie burgers 001 Veggie burgers 002
These are the raw before cooking. { With my tomato peel and fresh picked basil leaf}
This is vegan (oil and egg free)
vegetable broth/cooking wine, for sauteing about 1 cup
1cup beans any kind mashed
1 cup diced mushrooms (I use shitake)
1 cup diced eggplant
1 cup diced  onion
1 cup shredded carrots
1 cup diced red/green pepper mixed
1 cup each Shredded zucchini and summer squash
1 cup diced tomatoes    1 Tbsp tomato paste
3 Tbsp hot wine or stock per 1 Tbsp flax seed let this sit while you sautee {equals 1 egg}
1Tbsp garlic, minced (I love garlic so you may wanna adjust this. )
1 tsp dried thyme  1tsp. oregano (my home grown spicy kind is great)  1 Tbsp dried basil    1 Tbsp parsley
salt, to taste (or not)    1/2-1 tsp ground pepper
1 cup Ezekiel bread crumbs optional.
In a cast iron skillet on medium high heat. Once the pan is hot I put in the onion and toss it a few seconds then splash in some of the broth. Next transfer the onion out into a bowl and cover. Then do this same process with each vegetable, transferring them into the bowl when not totally cooked because they tend to continue to soften as they sit in the bowl. You may need to lower heat as needed to prevent burning. I always do the tomato last as it is very quick. Then deglaze the pan with about a 1/4 cup of liquid wine or stock Add garlic, tomato paste and stir then transfer to bowl. Add seasoning into bowl and the flax seed mixture. blend all together and pattie them up. I do not fry I bake them in a 400 degree oven for around 5 minutes each side. Then they can be frozen. Once baked they can be grilled about 2 minutes each side or microwaved about a minute and a half. Both these times depend on your machine. But they are fully cooked already so really just to warm.

This is so much fun to play with. My husband likes them with cheese and BACON… but he likes everything with bacon…

Cooked and ready to freeze. I put wax paper between so I can take out one or more at a time.

Psalm 27:4 One thing I have desired of the Lord, That will I seek: That I may dwell in the house of the Lord
All the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the Lord, And to inquire in His temple.

As I made this I kept thinking ” I am the vine you are the branches” John 15:5 After I got done I thought I will do a Bible search so I read a whole bunch of Scripture where vine was mentioned. This does fit it best. Literally our God sent His Son to shed the blood He commanded in the old Testament to cover sin. Making a New and Everlasting Covenant for all those who follow His Son Jesus Christ. We do not live by sight, we live by faith in Jesus. We do not live by laws, rather we obey out of simple thanks for a God who loves us that much. He loves our Joyfilled obedience, not obedience because we have no choice. He has given us choices and wants us to choose Him. Will you do that today? Have you done it already and just not obeying Him? Do you please Him or yourself. I was living in the latter of those two choices and I can tell you it is not fun.
I would just like to say Jesus did not squeeze grapes to make the Blood needed to cover us. Although this is a beautiful picture. He was hung on a cross and He was squeezed for our sins. A Holy and Blameless sacrifice!!! Please share this with your friends saved and unsaved and let me know what you think about either the picture or the words I have placed here. Psalm 141:3 Activity

Set a guard over my mouth, Oh Lord; keep watch over the door of my lips. Psalm 141:3
In this world today I know I am not the only one who needs to be reminded of this daily. Here is a great booklet you can print out for and activity with kids or just as a memory booklet for yourself.
