Dehydrating, Preserving, and Keeping it

Hello Whatcha doin? Thanks for coming by…oppsy…I don’t know you came unless you comment.

Well the picture came out blurry but this is the shot of Mangoes, Bananas, and apples being dehydrated. I also did Mint, Kiwi, and Lime Zest (Sorry no picture of the mint. Lime Zest is the peel after drying, put in blender and grated).
Lime Zest and Kiwis
Slice 1/4 inch thick. I use no sugar or any chemicals just place on tray and plug it in. Husband says needs sugar. I love them. Oh and as I was removing the peels from the key limes fresh from a friends yard… O:) The juice that did get on my hands made a great morning splash very refreshing. Think I will make a sugar scrub with some of the juice, honey, and oatmeal. Next post ok. I am preserving the lime juice in ice cube form for my water bottle. It is very refreshing.
The zest i have been adding to a Mrs. Dash shaker I bought…But with this amount of zest, I have decided to make a batch for myself. So I broke out the list for shopping needs. I have the onion, lime, basil, oregano, marjoram, thyme, rosemary, coriander, carrot i will need and all but onion and carrot are fresh from the garden…I will let you know how that goes.

Mint kept here i use it for so many things.

Keep you posted

Partial dehydration of fruit can be done by using a concentrated sugar solution to extract water
Dehydration refers to any condition where fluid volume is reduced.
Preservation by freezing food is lowering the temperature to inhibit microorganism growth.
Well the keeping it is not the things I am dehydrating and preserving. Those things I will use up. The keeping it is God’s word in my heart everyday. Bringing it to mind which preserves me from dehydration!!!
